hoopsandyoyo.co.uk or the UK site, was a site specifically made for United Kingdom fans. It was released on 2007, and abandoned in late 2009, it was shut down on 2017, due to HYY's discontinuation. The site hosted events, some games, and news headlines. And meeting the hoops&yoyo mascots.

The site was mentioned on the US site in March 2007. The site had competition, events, news, and some games.


Events/Competitions

Alton Towers weekend breaks (August 2007)

The event.

There used to host events on the site, the first ever event, was for weekend breaks to Alton Towers which hosted on August 2007 until 14th of September 2007. [1]

"Meet Us"

The event.

"Meet us" was a event hosted on some places around November 3th, 2007 until December 1st, 2007, which you could meet the Hoops, and Yoyo's mascots and take photos [2] Here are the lists of events back then:

E-Cards

The site had an e-card page, which had tons of E-Cards.

Games

Swap Game

The most notable game back then, was the swap game, it's a tile-matching game, where the core gameplay is based on swapping two same characters among several on the gameboard to make a row or column of at least three matching-colored characters. it has two modes, non-registered mode which you're a guest, while your highscore will not be registered at the leaderboard. And the "register" mode which you have to register/create an account, or login to save your highscores on the leaderboard.

Wallpapers

You could download wallpapers on the site[3], those wallpapers had the site url changed to "hoopsandyoyo.com" to "hoopsandyoyo.co.uk".

Printables

There used to be printables on the site, you could print, a coloring book, office notes, masks and more. In the description, it showed how much time it prints. Example: "Broadband: 15 seconds".

There used to be an advertisement for the UK site on TV's, it showed Hoops, and Yoyo dancing, while both were trying to show their best dance moves and correcting each other.

Shop

There existed a shop, which you could buy merchandise, exclusively at the Clintox Cards. It has soft toys,

Show And Tell

Show And Tell was a section on the UK site, it was the animations page. It featured manners and littlelife animations, and Hoops and Yoyo's biographies.

News

News was announcement boards, which would tell events, newly released e-cards and more. [4]

  • Hoops & Yoyo on the UK Homepage, talks for 2 minutes long.
  • There's hidden animations on the site, which is December's 12 Sounds of Christmas and Nothing Says Easter Like... E-Cards which were modified to animations. They accompany with a Javascript file for some reason.
  • Unused Microsoft Windows 9x UI's is present in some SWF's.
