Happy 4th of July! is the very first hoops&yoyo e-card created by Bob Holt in 2001, animated using Macromedia Flash. It was remade a few years later, with the assumed re-release being in 2003.

Hoops tries to light a firework in a soda bottle and then runs for cover, but the fuse keeps fizzling out. Finally, the firework explodes when Hoops gets too close to the fuse. Trivia
- This e-card was initially intended to feature Holt's Green Bunny character, an early version of Yoyo, but it was redesigned into a pink kitty.
- Hoops was not officially named yet, only referred to by the nickname "Pink Kitty/Hallmark Pink Kitty." His color was also more of a magenta-purple compared to the later hot pink shade.
- The reason Hoops only had a firecracker was due to the e-card requirement. This animation was created hastily to meet a deadline.
- The remake was actually done twice, with the second version being slightly shorter than the first.
