Gatomau
Gatomau is a defunct franchise made by Onixclub, a 2000s website from Mexico. The franchise Gatomau, first introduced in 2006[1] and eventually got his own website around 2008[2]. Since 2007 until 2011, some of the Mau e-cards were inspired by the hoops&yoyo e-cards occasionally.
PB & Jay
An set of colorful talking animals featured in eCards for various events and holidays similar to hoops&yoyo, except these are from MyFunCards instead of Hallmark Cards.
Very little is known about these characters, aside where they are from the late 2000s and were likely made to compete with Hallmark.

General parodies
Loops & Dodo
Loops & Dodo is one of the earliest hoops&yoyo parodies created by sevenstreak, dating back to January 21st, 2007[3]
The parody consists of Loops and Dodo doing random shenanigans with A Little Pop homepage audio. until a Hello Kitty with an chainsaw chases both.
The animation was deleted by the creator on a unknown date but an archived Flash file was preserved[4].
College parodies
Lil’ Swoop & Red Rover
Lil’ Swoop & Red Rover is a parody created by the University of Utah, made sometime in mid 2008.
They had an e-card site around 2008-2009.
Telos College Bumper
A bumper made by Jake L and uploaded to YouTube in Febuary 26th 2009. This was a bumper made for Telos College, specifically East Hollywood High's version of The Oscars. they have this ceremony once a year to give awards for their school's students great work.
The video starts with Yoo Yoo and Hops lighting up a switch and a 3d "Telos" logo starts spinning with big shines appearing, making Yoo Yoo and Hops screaming because of the lights being intense.
The video was deleted sometime in 2016 but an archived video was found in May 22, 2024 [5].
Wofford College Xmas E-Card
An E-Card in a hoops&yoyo style created by Wofford College[6].
Jinx & Bobo
Jinx & Bobo is a parody created by Terry Quiett as a holiday card for Southwestern College, featuring the school’s cat mascot “Jinx”, and uploaded on YouTube on December 12th, 2012.[8]
