Boom Zone is a children's amusement park located in Palermo, Italy created in 1973 by Pietro Carbocci. They are most notably known for hosting birthday parties, but also for using the characters Hoops And Yoyo in their logo, despite never being officially licensed by Hallmark in any shape or form.
History
1973
The first indoor park was opened inside the English Garden by Pietro, who for the first time offered the Palermo public a constant reference point for children's entertainment where parents could spend a couple of hours relaxing while watching their children play happily.[1]
1999-2001
The first "outdoor park", Toy Park, was opened and managed by his son, Andrea Carbocci; developing an innovative entertainment concept that emphasizes children's socialization. By 2001, there was an the opening of a third park, Toy Park Planet in Palermo on Viale Regione Siciliana, and a few years later with Toy Park Beach (in Mondello).[2]
2013
From an innovative idea by Pietro and his daughter Daniela, Boom Zone was created as a park aimed at young people, offering them a place to spend time having fun in Palermo.
Hoops and Yoyo
It is currently unknown as to why the theme park is using the duo for branding despite having no permission from Hallmark or Bob Holt himself; it is most likely Hallmark and Bob have never heard of the company at all.
