Greeting cards pieces of card stock, featuring an expression of friendship, love, celebration, or other sentiment. hoops&yoyo cards have been made by Hallmark Cards since 2006. Originally being simple greeting cards, they span across many variations. They can still mostly be found in local stores.

History

The greeting cards rooted in the concepts of Ephemera.

One definition for ephemera is "the minor transient documents of everyday life". Ephemera are often paper-based, printed items, including menus, ticket stubs, newspapers, postcards, posters, sheet music, stickers, and greeting cards. [1]

hoops&yoyo Greeting Card history

The greeting cards started being manufactured around 2006, with simpler greeting cards such as Hi, Hello! and Congratulations.

Artist and voice actor of Hoops, Mike Adair, would design the greeting cards in 2006. One of the most known examples are the Yodeling Birthday Wishes and 100 Bucks greeting cards.

Following the initial greeting cards, they started to be produced in many variations and brands, such as wind up cards, holographic cards, pop-up cards, etc.

As of today, many hoops&yoyo greeting cards are still being printed at Walgreens, CVS, and Dollar Tree.

The only greeting cards currently available on Hallmark's sites are You are Wonderful at the US site, and Pass The Cake on Hallmark Australia's site.

Enveloped Cards

Enveloped cards are cards that you could mail to someone else via Hallmark's online shopping.
