He applied for a job there by doing a series of very short animations of a unlucky boy, and submitting them to the bosses. During this period, on his own time, Bob created "[[The Adventures of Green Bunny]]" as a short test animation. Green Bunny would later be recolored magenta and modified to look like a cat, named Pink Kitty, and used in "[[Happy 4th of July!]]" the first ever E-Card to feature the character. This would over time evolve into hoops&yoyo, as the characters where given names and voices, with Bob Holt voicing Yoyo, the green rabbit, and [[Mike Adair]] voicing Hoops, the pink kitty.

Bob Holt had several ideas for hoops&yoyo projects, however their bosses requested that they stop submitting ideas, as "they already had enough". Over time, however, the brand proved successful, as the characters quickly rose in popularity, and according to Bob "made them millions of dollars". Bob would go on to help write "[[Hoops & Yoyo Ruin Christmas]]" however did not contribute to the writing of "[[Hoops and Yoyo Haunted Halloween]]"

Bob was fired from Hallmark in 2012, no reason was given other then that Hoops and Yoyo did not fit into the "Humor" that Hallmark wanted.
His animation, is known as a simplified and choppy style, which was easier to animate. [[Mike Adair]] does a more, complicated and smoother animation. This style was between 2001-2008, but in 2009, the animation got gradually smoother and greater.

Bob Holt has went on to both write and illustrate for several children's books, including "Let's Taco About How Great You" and "The Red Jacket". He has also created animated gifs for mobile apps, more greeting cards, and his own webcomic, called "Sweet and Sour Pork" which as a self described "Dark Humor" edge to it. Bob continues to work on projects to this day.
