Greeting cards are cards made by Hallmark Cards since 2006. Originally being simple greeting cards, they span across many variations. They can still mostly be found in local stores.
History
The greeting cards are based off a Ephemera concepts.
One definition for ephemera is "the minor transient documents of everyday life".Ephemera are often paper-based, printed items, including menus, ticket stubs, newspapers, postcards, posters, sheet music, stickers, and greeting cards. [1]
hoops&yoyo Greeting Card history
The greeting cards started being manufactured around 2006, with simpler greeting cards such as Hi, Hello! and Congratulations (Greeting Card) greeting cards.
Artist and voice actor of Hoops, Mike Adair, would design the greeting cards in 2006. One of the most known examples is the Yodeling Birthday Wishes and 100 Bucks greeting card.
Following the greeting card production, they started to be produced in many variations and brands, such as wind up cards, holographic cards, pop-up cards and etc.
