During this period, on his own time, Bob created "[[The Adventures of Green Bunny]]" as a short test animation. Green Bunny would later be recolored magenta and modified to look like a cat, named Pink Kitty, and used in "[[Happy 4th of July!]]" the first ever E-Card to feature the character. This would over time evolve into hoops&yoyo, as the characters where given names and voices, with Bob Holt voicing Yoyo, the green rabbit, and [[Mike Adair]] voicing Hoops, the pink kitty.

Early on, the project was not well supported, and it was a constant uphill battle for Bob to get the characters off the ground. Bob Holt had several ideas for hoops&yoyo projects, however their bosses requested that they stop submitting ideas, as "they already had enough". Over time, however, the brand proved successful, as the characters quickly rose in popularity, and according to Bob "made them millions of dollars". Bob would go on to help write "[[Hoops & Yoyo Ruin Christmas]]" however did not contribute to the writing of "[[Hoops and Yoyo Haunted Halloween]]"

Hoops guides the viewer, and explains the process of selecting an Ecard, and sends it to Yoyo electronically. Puck, in a Mail truck, drives to Yoyo and delivers him the Gift Wish Certificate. Yoyo happily walks off with the letter as Hoops shouts "Woo-Hoo!".

Puck is a purple rodent with large ears, an elliptical black nose and small eyes. He is one of the smallest critters, about the same size as [[Piddles]]

Puck is one of the first critters to be introduced into Hoops&Yoyo, along with [[Bluebird]] in "No Heart As Big" He would often appear on the homepages holding a red umbrella, hiding inside of small objects on the page, or in a tree in the later homepages.
